Prayer of Gratitude to Mother and Sri Aurobindo

Could I but see Thee clearly

In all thy formless glory

Mother of all heavens

And the seven sacred earths.

Thou hast donned the mantle

Of humanity

Upbearing by divine largesse

All life-forms in thy hands.

Radiant force of the Lord

Timeless is thy beauty

Timeless is thy grace

And infinite thy love.

In ageless moments visiting

Our world in human time

O form immaculate

Descending to uplift

Our flawed and failing race

Transforming with tenderness all

That elects to be transformed

On earth the chosen field.

O gracious Lord of Life

Thou has blessed evolving earth

With the grandeur of thy presence

And the glory of thy smile.

May we ever remember Thee

In each evolving cell,

Imprint in the nucleus

Of being, gratitude.
